Happy Birthday Dr. Suess

I love Dr. Seuss. I think I have read every children's book he wrote dozens of times each. I love the illteration of his words but more importantly I love his messages. Theodor ("Ted") Geisel was born on March 2, 1904. At the time of his death in 1991 over 200 million copies of his books had been printed....that is impressive. I started this blog with a Dr. Seuss quote from Oh, The Places You'll Go! and I thought it would be fun to share a few more of my favorite Dr. Suess quotes today.

  • "You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left." — Dr. Seuss (Oh, the Places You'll Go!)

  • "Think and wonder, wonder and think." — Dr. Seuss

  • "If things start happening, don't worry, don't stew, just go right along and you'll start happening too." — Dr. Seuss

  • "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It's not." — Dr. Seuss (The Lorax)

  • "You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." — Dr. Seuss

  • "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." — Dr. Seuss

  • "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..." — Dr. Seuss (Oh, The Places You'll Go!)

  • "I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells." — Dr. Seuss
